With summer coming quickly upon us, you obviously want to start thinking about how you are going to wow people this summer. One of the easiest ways to get people’s heads turning when you walk by is to get on top of the latest hair trends. Nothing screams style and flair like sporting an up-to-date hairstyle. But, hair trends are constantly changing from season to season, so it can be difficult to keep up with the latest styles. Angular blunt bob
This is an older hairstyle inspired by ones popular in the 70s and 80s. It is a part of a greater trend towards revitalising and reshaping retro hairstyles to fit modern day style trends. Bob style haircuts are great for those who have round faces because the bob compliments it nicely. This is a hairstyle that you see a lot of celebrities sporting, most notably Australian actress Margot Robbie (of Suicide Squad and Wolf of Wall Street fame).
The long pixie
Many of you have no doubt heard of the pixie haircut before. It is a great haircut for all women. It is stylish, sexy, and most importantly, easy to manage. All kinds of celebrities have sported this haircut at one point or another, including Katy Perry, Kaley Cuoco, and many more. The long pixie is simply a variation on this popular style that has emerged very recently. Although you may hear that this hairstyle is only fit for petite women, don’t listen to them, this style can work for women of all shapes and sizes.
Updos
Updos, specifically highly structured ones, is a new trend, but so far they appear to be one that is here to stay. Even though you may not immediately associate structured updos with summer (they are more common on special occasions, like weddings), they are actually a great hairstyle for warmer months. Not only are they great to look at, but they also enable you to show off your clothes and face, which during the summer months is important.
High ponytails
You read that right, high ponytails are making a comeback. Fashion model Bella Hadid (named model of the year 2016) can often be seen sporting this style, as can American actress Blake Lively. The great thing about the high ponytail is that it is extremely easy to do and that you can decorate it with bands, ribbons, etc. During summer you want to spend as much time outside in the sun as possible, not cooped inside doing your hair. A well-decorated high ponytail may only take 10 or 15-minutes to do, but to others, it will look like you spent hours in the salon chair.
